No-knead bread

Description

Delicious with salted butter. Like eat-the-whole-bread delicious.

Ingredients

  • 450g all-purpose flour
  • 3g instant yeast
  • 12g salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour and instant yeast.
  2. Add 400ml of water and stir until blended.
  3. Add salt and mix until well combined.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and let dough rest for at least 12 hours.
  5. Lightly flour a work surface and place dough on it.
  6. Fold it over itself twice, turning 90 degrees after first fold.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and rest for 15 minutes.
  8. Shape the dough into a ball, put it on a kitchen towel coated with flour, place another towel on top of it and let rest for 2 hours.
  9. At least 30 minutes before the end of the rest, heat oven to 230°C. Place a sufficiently large cast iron pot with lid in the oven while preheating.
  10. When the dough has rested, place in the heated pot, cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
  11. Remove lid and bake for another 15 to 30 minutes until loaf is nicely browned.
